The problem statements for the IIT-M Shaastra-06 competition has been uploaded....

This year they have three robotics problem statements....

just a word of advice!!!!
for all roboteers...
do participate in shaastra if u can...
i was there last time...
its professionally really very well managed unbiased competition..
u ll hav a terrific experience..

i ll surely come if i manage to squeeze time...

yes, i was there in Shaastra last year as well, it was the very first techfest I attended and I really loved it, everything was managed beautifully and the events were great.

Hey Sunayana ! I remember that guys from SVNIT had flooded Shaastra last time, there were some 50+ participations in Sumo Wrestling from your college..... am I right ? :)

well as far as the stair climber is concern it seems to be a light job
also the robots can be wired so it can make the robot tremendously light
as ===no batteries weight ====just i suppose a motor is what is needed
so the easiest design would be.... hell no drawing supported here
well i think u can see a motor same shaft for both wheels a heavy weight
attached to the motor so that i dose not rotate.....

aha somebody from surat...
i was at surat last time for "coders stymie" second prize....
so whats up i am eagerly waiting for next ...... :D

hello agent smith, or whtever ur name is see the problem statement carefully.
you've got to keep the batteries on the bot itself. it's the total weight of batteries and bot tht should nopt exeed 6 kgs. but still ask the organisers.
ur hard work should not go in vain

In the problem of gold rush.. to detect an oncoming bot in front of me i am using 38kHz modulated IR...but suppose if the bot in front of me is using the same mechanism the my bot will detect it froma very far distance(more than the reflective distance)... Does anybody have a solution to this problem...
