Does anyone know how to program the CMUcam or GPS for robots? The CMUcam would be used for object recognition but I dont know how to make it understand what it sees so would someone help me out if they know it. GPS would also be interesting and I would like to learn how to use that for robots.

For the CMUcam, I would like to make the robot recognize a box by knowing that it has 4 equal sides when looking at the front of it. It wont be hard to make it recognize colored objects because all you have to do is just do RGB values, but I dont know how to make it so it can see a difference between a box and pyramid, or for it to recognize a door apart from the wall. If the robot could recognize the door, it would be able to enter and not hit the wall but I do not know how to program this.

If you could give me some code that would make the CMUcam recognize any kind of object apart from other objects, it would be very helpful to me because then I would understand how to do more complex things.

Thanks for the links Ice. The more info I can find about the GPS and CMUcam, the better robot I will be able to make since I won't be making simple mistakes.
