Hi Subhasis ,
Use "Stellar data recovery tools "
u can get this software in grey market !! for 100 /- rs.
visit " http://www.stellarinfo.com"

It has a very good success rate.
Search Nehru place for some other info too.

I used this software twice , it works well but will take some time to recover.
If u can give some more info i may help u better

WelDisk recovery on robotics forum :) ... Anyway recovery depends on the type of failure ... If its a Head crach ( H/w ) failure .. then there is a problem . If something went wrong on the s/w side ( MBR / Boot sector etc ) then try the various tools on the net ... you will be fine . Also try connecting ayour harddisk to a running PC and try to access your HDD ... maybe not all is lost .

hard disk crash... ::ouch::

tht so sucks

i lost my entire collection of mp3 when me hdd crashed last year

i spent too much time hooking it up to my friends comp trying to recover my data - no use

if you don't have anything irreplaceable on the hdd, jus programs, then i say format the hdd(if it's still usable) and start life anew...

Hi ingenium,
U can boot ur computer from linux which runs from cd like knoppix, or bhavya linux(given by LFY). You can connect another harddisk to ur computer. if u can access the files from crashed harddisk i.e. if it is mounted, in linux running from cd then u can try copying files from old crashed harddisk to new second harddisk. if u r not good in linux plz consult someone good at linux. even i am novice. u can borrow second harddisk from friend. if it is total hardware failure this might not work.
hi linux experts online plz give ur suggestions regarding this.

regards
