That looks like some really fancy webpage designing.

Anyway, what is different in this workshop besides the Fee & Boat-ride, from an earlier workshop at Delhi by IURS ?

The cost change of 6500 ---> 15,000 does not sound right, to me, considering the course contents & the kit are same.

The only additions are a hotel, boat-ride etc.
I think the interested people would attend for the content & kit & learning.

Looks like an attempt to make it like an IEEE conference in Hawai, where papers & sightseeing vacation is combined.
I wonder if hobbyists in India would like to spend this much.

On a similar note, it would be nice if someone who has already attended the Workshop in Delhi by IURS, posts some feedback & review.

Well if you haven't noticed, IURS is our Education Partner. Its exactly the same course of Delhi, that we are conducting, in South India.

In fact, there are a lot more complications associated with conducting the workshop in South India, rather than in Delhi. So the charges are not explicitly high. Moreover, we are providing built in accommodation facilities, with the package, which we did not provide in Delhi.

And North Indian candidates are kindly requested to join the Delhi workshop, since it would be highly inaccessible for them to come over to Kerala, for instance!

15000 - 20000 .... man i can say anything about the course but one thing is for shore

- Its the most expensive Robotics Course right now 8O , but duration also is the longest ,maybe thats why .... but the course content is nearly what other people are offering.

Do people really have this kind of money for such courses ???? hmm ... , time will tell.

Claims.....& fancy claims...!!
And just TWO robots (AUV)???
Indias 1st AUV ??? How?
Thats preposterous!!! Just because nobody has advertised it doesnt mean it was not made earlier.

Guys, thats too much! There should be some moral sense of honour other than wild claims. You can silence the suckered students with your fancy talk and high sounding technical vocabulary ( which they will never comprehend) , but at the end of the day, what do the kids get in exchange for 1000s of hard Indian cash???

You are just talking the unsuspecting kids for a long ride!

Check this out too:

It seems, we now have a pyramid-scheme marketing company in the field of robotics and allied engineering.

Its the Amway of robotics!!! Surely a first, worldwide!

I think, it has more to do with marketing and less with what quality your product or service is. As a friend of mine in marketing said - Its how your drawing room looks, and not your bedroom, that matters.

Docel, its time you got yourself a real site and not something on tripod. You may also need some heavy duty flash programming there. :-)

I know you're right and thanks for the advise...
I dont maintain those sites of mine: my students do, since I dont !!
I'm just a concerned man interested in the students benefit. Business may be a probable last on my agenda!

I have penned my opinion, without prejudice or vested interests, about others . I just love being with students and prodding them into learning (the right thing in the right way) and their personal achievements gives me a lot of pleasure and satisfaction.
I'm just a teacher who loves teaching, I guess !

Many thanks for your concern and advise and I do appreciate it.
I may even take your advise to heart..... :)

Good luck!
