@superchiku: Lego Mindstroms generally cost in the range of 19,000 to 25,000. They are available with Lego India, but are cheapest with normal importers.

woooo thats a lot of money , is it worth buying or is it better that u make one urself??

@superchiku: Worth every penny. I would pay that price for the NXT Brick, without the rest of the kit.

and how do u program it ???

but whichever tech fest i go , all of them say that lego products are not allowed as tey are very easy to use and give no knowledge to the robotist

@Superchiku: It can be programmed in C, C++, Java, ADA, Assembly, or Lego's own Visual Language(called NXT-G, based on LabView).

I guess the reason its not allowed in competitions, is because it gives an unfair advantage. With it people don't have to worry about the electronics, or the hardware building. One can just concentrate on the design and software. Works perfectly for me, since I cannot enter competitions any more, and since I am more of a "Weekend-Hobbyist" now-a-days, I find it great that I can make complex and powerful designs in just a few hours.

Debu :)

Thats not really true. These days most connectors etc are available in India.
