hey was wondering if someone has worked before on stereo vision based systems before so cud help me on finalising my budget and cud advice me whether i shud go in for the std bumble pair or buy both cameras indivisually doing my own caliberation??

Noone will tell you!!
They may tell you , in parts, if you have a specific problem.

But, a suggestion: there are a lot of open source resources on this. Just Google for stereovision with openCV.

You should buy 2 cameras of the same type if you want to calibrate them successfully.

yeah u right bro i shud h've been more specific newayz itz not so much the similar camera vis a vis two different cam my problem was pertaining buying the custom build caliberated special stereo vision cams or to caliberate my own cams since the custom version is much more costly.. all i wanted was to know if someone has done it before and if so how successful was he... becuz caliberation now newayz can be done by using matlab's caliberation tool!!!

:lol: Why spend more, when you can do with less???
There is no problem using dissimilar Cams, but its nice to be elegant and symmetrical, is all !!
There are also a lot of other independent SW for this.
But no hassles when you can do with Matlab.
