I bought some components and asked for two TSOP 1738. The guy gave me one of it and another small Rx. I only noticed once i reached home. Can anyone tell me what exactly it is?

It might as well be a smaller version of the 1738.. I dont see any numbers on it...

It can be one of the pin compatible version's of TSOP 1738. I remember using a similar package without proper label on it.

If you have really asked for TSOP 1738 then it is correct. I found that now a days, 1738 comes in smaller package. Also sometimes with metal covering on It.

it is a different package of tsop, think 1238 or somethin... u can find the datasheet ... chk out vishay semiconductors site... the pin config might be different
