i require a stepper motor with a torque around 12Nm. can anybody tell me where i can get in Delhi

Are you sure you need such high torque? NEMA34 size stepper motors may come close to your needs or go for the next size. Either way, they will be quite expensive and you also will be needing a high power driver to go with it.

Where do you plan to use it? If cost is not a factor by all means go for a servo motor with a matching servo drive.

Try Fanuc (clickie) (http://www.fanucindia.com/corporate.htm), their stuff is brilliant, and very expensive. I am working on a UV dose lamp gantry which uses 104Nm Fanuc servos and matching Drives. Each costing close to 10 Lakhs a set!

till now i was running around printers for stepper motors.but yesterday i came across some article,in which they said Xerox machines are the best for big steppers. is it really so?
