I'm in need of omni wheels (http://www.acroname.com/robotics/parts/R97-4CM-POLY-ROLLER.jpg) (8 wheels of similar type in the pic), GP2D120 Sharp IR detectors (3 detectors) and Sonar Detectors (3 numbers) (ofc i have found some nice post on how to make them, but i aitn got enough time for it.)

It will be nice if i can get them in India as i have already found shops abroad and they ask for big shipping charges.

Hope i get replies soon plz . In real need.

welcome!

are u making the omni wheels robot , if yes then i reccomend that u use 4 wheels coz that gives extra control , never use 3 wheels in omi wheeled robots

and abt the omni wheels , i guessthat u have to import them or u can use castor wheels that is found on ur holders for washingmachines ,tv stands, gas stands etc ...

good site for importing omni wheels

I'm basically working on "snake robot".

ofcourse superchiku 4 wheeled is best for omni wheeled robots. But in my case i'm using 3 wheels as its gives better turning ability than 4 wheeled. This is cos moving with 4 wheeled omni wheel setup, straight and turning is not possible if u have an array of body parts attached to the setup.

well castors cant be propelled like wheels/meccaum hence they can't be be used for holonomic motion... go for omniwheels
