I read some posts about self balancing vehicle
people used accelerometer and gyrometer both
i understood use of accelerometer but couldnt understand why
gyrometer is needed or is it really needed at all???
can anyone help...

@shashankiim: Accelerometers are used to determine the direction of tilt. Gyros are used to determine the rate of tilt. Refer to this page (clickie) (http://members.optusnet.com.au/a4x4kiwi/scooter/). And, if all else fails try this (clickie) (http://tinyurl.com/la34go)

but there i suppose people have not implemented PID
however i am planning to implement it...

will my idea work ?
