i am building a mobile robot arm & i need to control 7 servos thru a 40 pin microcontroller....can anyone help????
i am new to servo otors so please start from basics...
also from where can i get servo motor controllers in India?????

You have only one choice if you want to buy servo controllers. You can buy from www.robokits.co.in. See the link below.

One more thing even you can build it by yourself if you know a bit of microcontrollers. But you will not be able to get complex sequences running from your controller since you will have to reprogram it every time. But with the servo controllers from robokits you have a graphical interface and it is much more easier to run sequences of servo with the sequencer software. I just love that. It has great features!!! Cost is a bit problem but it is worth buy. If you even go for servo controllers outside india they will cost you more than that.

I have built my own servo controller but without interface it was just trial and error.

If you want to build it you just need to give 1-2ms pulses at every 20ms.
