Hi guys,
Im planning to use OpenCV for image processing. Based on the results, corresponding signal should be sent over Xbee RF modules. Is this possible? how to do it?
Experts need your help here. :D

if gonna use Open CV why not use a simple Wifi card or bluetooth adapter ... cheaper and much faster !!!

Hi Vikas,
I went for Xbee for their range. Xbee pro = 1km :D . So how to interface xbee eith openCV?

Shoould have mentioned. Anyhow good XBEE modules allow to use the stack using serial.

So all u need is a serial port :)

The link u gave is a simple usb to serial converter , which can be connected to a XBee unit like the one i showed.

End of the day u have to buy a XBEE unit like the one i showed.

if you have a laptop then

Xbee unit +USB to Serial

Hi Vikas,
planning to buy Xbee Pro moodules from Aqtronics Banglore. Each costs
Rs 1850.
But the thing i can get is, whether it can be controlled using OpenCV.
I would be thankful, if any one can tell me how.

XBee has nothing to do with OpenCV , where did you get the idea of OpenCV controlling XBee.

Hi vikas,
Actually the idea is to make a ground based object following vehicle.
OpenCV processes the incoming stream of videos. I want to know if it is possible to control the vehicle using xbee, based on the opencv result, automatically.

vehicle control would be done by means of controlling the status of serial port which would be done in C programming language.....opencv is not a language, its just a collection of libraries meant for image processing.....
