hi ....i had a doubt abt PIC 16F877A..i made a circuit in which PORTA of pic is driving a 74154 decoder nd i ve used a 10k and 1uF capacitor for reset circuit...but the pic will not run when the vcc is applied...i ve to press the reset button to run it...clock can be seen on a cro even when there is no output...

how did you know the pic was running??


MCLR is active low, seems like you have wired the reset components like the 8051.

i m using an indicator led which toggles on each second nd to run the pic i dont ve to keep the button pressed.

Even if you tried, I don't think you could be more cryptic! There is no circuit diagram, no details at all, nothing...

You just can't do technical discussions this way!
