Dear Friends,

We, the students of National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK),
Surathkal are pleased to inform you that we are organizing our annual
technical symposium ENGINEER '09 from the 12th to the 15th of
February, 2009. The focus of this festival is on the most important
aspect of engineering - the art of original thinking in creating new
avenues as yet unexplored. Engineer has built up a reputation of
drawing some of the best technical talent from all over India for four
action filled days of technical contests, inspiring lectures,
insightful and informative seminars and many more exciting activities.

One of the crowd-favourites at Engineer has been its Workshops and
Exhibitions. The previous editions of Engineer have seen a wide
variety of workshops ranging from Forensics and Photography to
Aero-Modeling and Ship-building .

At Workshops@Engineer '09, we bring to you whole new learning
experiences with workshops on Autonomous Robotics, Game Theory,
Advertising and Brand Building and Control Systems Technology (please
visit http://engineer.org.in/2009/workshops for more details).

Autonomous robots are robots which can perform desired tasks in
unstructured environments without continuous human guidance. After a
hugely successful remote-controlled robotics workshop in Engineer
2008, which witnessed a turnout of more than 300 participants from all
over India, Engineer 2009 this time features a workshop on Autonomous
Robotics in association with Robhatah Robotic Solutions Pvt Ltd.

The cost of the workshop, which is inclusive of the 10-hour training,
the User Manual, the Revobot kit, Participation certificate and the
Test key for the Online Examination is Rs. 5000 for a team of 3.
However, as a special offer to the participants at Engineer 2009, we
are offering the same for a reduced rate of Rs.4500 for a team of 4.

We look forward to your participation. Registration for the robotics
workshop is now open. To register, please visit our website:
