am planning to make a self driving a bot....is it necessary to consider the torque specf of the stepper motor for my project? if so then suggest me the req torque specificaton...

Do you mean an autonomous bot ? one that doesn't need a remote control?

3) "suggest me the req torque specificaton" -------- how can we do that ?
We haven't seen your bot.......we don't know how much it weighs and we have no idea how fast do you want it to run (or rather,crawl)

is it necessary to have an interface ic when i use a microcontroller to run a geared motor for my robot ?

I don't get what exactly you mean by an interface IC but as far i've seen, you can't run your motors directly from the uC. You'll need a motor driver in between the uC and motor. Hope this is what you're talking about.

And yes as User kp_chd says, please post more details if you want your queries answered.
