hi...Can nyone suggest me 'How to solve discontinuities in line..in line follower robot'../?????????

if u are making it using a microcontroller then its very simple..just
program such that for the inputs from the sensors(wrt black line on
white background) as high give the output such that both the motors
move in the forward direction.by doing this you bot will move straight
and catch the line.provided that the line follows after the discontinuity
or atleast falls within the range of the sensors .

you can loose line in two ways so you have to takle them differently.....
1) while taking sharp turns
2) at line discontinuity.

i assume you have already tackled the first problem (as you are on second). the second problem is different from first in the way that here before disappearing line do not drift to the farthest sensor, it disappears directly from some middle sensor..... so just use this logic to differentiate between the two cases and take appropriate action. ( i.e decide whether you have to take a hard turn or go straight until you find the line)....
