How to make interface links between GPS and robot.
Basically I want to make GPS based car which will move to destination pointed by user on GPS map
So basically I want to make interface using which user can click on final destination and then I can give command to my bot to move accordingly.
Does any one have idea how to go about making?

GPS module will needs to be bought.

GPS usually have serial port interfaces , so you will read the current position on them and where you have to go then take actions :).

It will be easy to discuss about the interface, if you could tell us more about the gps chip and the microcontroller you are using in the robot. As far as I know, you can find the gps chip which sends its output at serial port. So, you can connect this output to the receiving port of microcontroller you are using in robot. I hope it'll help you.

for the project we are using an ATMega 16.
we haven't bought a gps module.
but then, the output of gps is in latitude and longitude isn't it?
the problem comes when we are working in a small area.
and also...is it possible for us to use the navigators that come with gps technology for this project?
