Hi All

I would like to ask suppose you have to get 100 Boards made how do you handle the soldering of components.

Are there any better ways then doing the joints one by one ?

Yep i looked into Dip soldering .

But someone making kits at home is it still viable option ?

How much does the setup cost ? The flux and the dip machine ... any ideas ?

Any other ways ?

I think the machine will be too costly.
Can't you just experiment and try on your own?
All you need will be a method of heating the solder.
I'm sure it'll work with some trial and error.

@Vikas

Go for Contract Manufacturing, it is the best option no huge setup cost no hassles!

Remember one thing

SMT is best for fully automated assembly in large scale
TROUGH HOLE best for prototyping by HAND, assembly by HAND. (Although Soldering is done by Wave Soldering Machine, whole PCB in one go but some process like insertion may require manual attention)

Also as you are living in Delhi you shouldn't have problem finding a Contract Manufacturer.

Many electronic products sold throughout India are made in Delhi.

I can also give u contact detail of a Bangalore Based EMS service provider.

Best of luck for ur ARP project ! It will help many.
