I am using flash magic to burn the hex file into P89V51RD2 through a usb to serial converter the circuit board uses a max 232 with db9 connector.
Flash magic error:"Unable to connect with the device ,try reducing the BAUD rate.Rest the device in ISP mode"

flash magic specs:
COM PORT :COM1
BAUD RATE:9600
DEVICE:89V51RD2
Interface NONE(isp)
with check on erase all flash

Go to Options>>Advance options>>Hardware config>> check mark on "assert DTR and RTS while COM port opens"

Hello This is Ashish Lath. Follow these steps to remove your problem.

Go to "options"
click on "Advanced option"
then click on "Hardware configuration"
there you will find a box beside which it is written "use DTR to control RST". unmark that box.
then click "OK".

your problem will vanish thereafter.


Please tell me to the 7th pin of DB9 connector wat u have connected
