hi,

I'm using 12V 300rpm motors

i want help in choosing light weight batteries....will i be able to use Lithium batteries??

is there anything specific that you think why you may not be able to use Lithium Batteries??
LIpo are the light weight, for a particular voltage. Yes.

Thank you 4 replying......... i'm using 4 such motors in my bot.....i'm planning on using this battery....http://robokits.co.in/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=13&products_id=69 ...... if i use one battery pack for all four motors how long will the battery last??? can i use the battery like tat??

If you are using that high torque motors for driving purpose then your car can easily carry 16-20 Ahr battery
Actually you must measure the drain current with motors on ful load.
Multiply that with efficiency (~1.5 to 2.0) factor and number of hours you want system to last long. This will give you AHr rating of battery.
I have explained it in very crude and simple way.

U can use Lithium ,better take the ones like 18650 sized (mainly used in laptops). Better use 3 pieces
If needed increase the voltage use a cool circuit like this http://www.aaroncake.net/Circuits/6-12conv.asp
with minimal changes u can get the voltage u want .
