Hi all,

Have a look at this:

The board is cheap about 450/-.I wanted to know how is usb interfaced to uC.Is it directly connected to uC i don't think so as 89v51rd2 has no capabilities of usb or it has usb to 232 chip mounted under the board??

If the usb is directly connected to uC can anyone explain me whats the concept after this , After all those years of soldering i now finally have a great experience & hope i'll make one board myself.

Regards Akshay,

When I looked at the USB Drivers they are For SiLabs CP210X Single Chip USB to serial convertor chip. They are small SMT Chip so must be mounted on the TRACK side of PCB hence not visible on the PCB !!!

See this board

http://shop.myavr.com/Systemboards/mySmartControl%20M8,%20equipped.htm?sp=article.sp. php&artID=100002

It also has the CP2102 chip.

I remember that the chips comes in a QFN Pack (may be, I am not sure).

All images have QFN package.I also think they are available in QFN package only.

I'll have to read data sheet.

Better Go For FT232RL in TSSOP package.

What is it??

I think CP2102 must be cheaper as those Guys are given board in 450 ! Please check with whole sellers about the pricing as you must be needing few hundreds of them.

Im looking at chip pricing for Ft232RL / CP2102 and not the board pricing.

You can use PL2303HX it has the same pin configuration as of FT232RL. Single chip costs Rs250 if buy more than hunder then maybe 190-200.

I told that to Vikas. They may need cp2101 for their ARP.

ft232rl costs 250 or less.
