Hi guys, this is my first post on Robotics India.
Just wanted to share some news.
We are a team of students from BITS Pilani who have been working on a humanoid project called AcYut for the past 2 1/2 years.
We had won one bronze medal at Robogames 2009 ( formely Robo Olympics ) ( the world's largest robotics competition according to the Guinness World Records ).
This year we won one gold and two Silver medals at Robogames 2010 (http://robogames.net/2010.php)
These are the only medals that India has won so far.
Till date we have built three humanoid robots AcYut 1, 2 & 3 . You can find more info at http://www.acyut.com or our blog http://blog.acyut.com
The main reason i am posting this info here is because we in the long run want to share all the info about our ( Indian! ) experiences and details about the robots ( not just humanoids ) here on robotics india forum. I also understand that humanoids especially are very expensive projects ( 10k dollars each ) but smaller humanoid robots are increasingly becoming affordable now.
Thats all for now,
Thanks
