Hi,

I'm presently using ATmega8 in some of my projects and want to port them to PIC.
I'm looking for a low cost PIC with equivalent or better features - Timers, PWM, Interrupt pins, Watchdog Timer, ADC, In System Programming.
I2C, SPI and low power upgrade path would be nice to have.
It should be easily available in local market.

Can anyone suggest a good IC that fits the bill ? Also, which are the most common PICs being used today?

Try Pic 16F72/73A . I used to buy them for 70-80 Rs long time back.

Thanks asimov, PIC16F73 comes close in terms of features and price. I'm going to try it.
Microchip's XLP series is quiet interesting. Know any locally available chips in this series?
