Well,

It doesnt really matter!!
All it matters is how you use it, in a application. Artificial intelligence is a topic, where we try to emulate 'intelligence' (with respect to the human brain). As a human being evolve, the five sensors we have (or may be the sixth, ESP that some people claims to have) gives in information to the brain, which uses it to make decisions.

So are our sensory system (along with the part of our brain which deciphers it), part of our intelligence?
