I recently removed a hard disk motor and tried connecting to battery terminals but it did nt work. It has four terminals. I still have the pcb with me. plz tell me how do i run it

Its a brushless DC motor , Look online ... lot of various solutions available on how to run it. A 555 with a shift register will be the simplest driver -

yar u need to connect it back to the PCB .....that motor is a BLDC- Brush Less DC motor it requires 3 phases to run and a whole lot of tuff stuff that is der on the pcb so connect it to that and the PCB to any Computer SMPS and it will run..... and remember the motor has to be on the PCB the way it was ...... other wise it wont work as there are some sensors that detect its allignment...
