Hi, I am using a 1.8 degree stepper motor for my robot. i'm using ATmega16 microcontroller for interfacing and i'm writing the code in AVRstudio 4. my problem is i'mgetting output when i use while loop for rotating the motor and the motor also rotates continuously.but if i want to control the angle means i've to give use for loop for accurate stepping..but i cant get rotation for when i use FOR loop....pls help me..

Stepper Motor chip generates management signals that may be used with for each unipolar & Bipolar Stepper Motors with acceptable drivers just like the L298 & L293.

Features

General / Hobby Purpose Stepper Motor Controller.
Compatible with four section unipolar / two section Bipolar Motors.
Master / Slave mode - Standalone Free Running Mode.
eight rate choices in Free Running Mode.
Compatible w/ Drivers - L298, L293, distinct Transistors.
0.5 / Full Wave: Step Modes, Direction management, Enable.
