well thanks for reply
the PS2 remote that comes for a computer for playing games can be obtained at say...Palika bazar at modest 150-200 rupees.
Its not Sony playstation remote but remote used for playing computer games, having same configuration of buttons as a PS2 remote and hence are called as USB-PS2 remote... i am asking for those one....(as they are cheaper to experiment with:))

Thanks for link... but its for dealing with original PS2 and not the one I intend to...

You need a USB Host, drivers, this and that if you want to connect the USB end of the wire to your microcontroller. That is, your micro should be able to act as a USB host. Buy a PS2 clone instead. they are cheap too.

Then its not a PS2 remote , but a USB GamePad. A USB host based uC will not be cheap and also making it work is another challenge.

Buy a PS2 One its simple to connect and use , i had done it long time back and it was quite cheap had bought from LRM.
