I had tried almost all FSK,ASK RF modules with various algorithm like cheking and segrecating for required data, with output comparator etc. having 433 Mhz and 355Mhz or so modules, but never suceeded in first programme. Even though all modules seems to be moody, sometimes works and somtimes show attitude. This makes them very unreliable to use in our projects. To make it much stronger i will like to add here that currently i have 10 tried pairs of such unreliable modules in my stock.

Recently i ordered 2 nos below metioned CC2500 (another version is CC1100 based) based RF modules from Sunrom Technologies

And i wrote a programme for it , burned it and Wow it worked in the first run at 38400 baud Serial line, Amazing, to make me beleive on myself i tried each and every combination of switching sequence of trx and rcx boards, sudden power shutdown of either board, variable distance at each time etc etc. But this modules never gave garbage data.

That's why if you want realiability, or if you are very beginner then i will recommend to go for this high reliable modules

And of course thanks goes to Sunrom Technologies for this awesom module

Ulhas has design a PCB for the controller ST3654 in eagle format which supports many types of CC1100/CC1101/CC2500 modules, It can be downloaded from here

Sunrom's module do work quite well....I have tried DNA Technology's CC2500 RF Trans Receiver module : http://www.dnatechindia.com/WIRELESS/CC2500-RF-Transreceiver-Module.html which is as good as sunrom's and cheaper

Amol, I see sunrom's modules are cheaper than DNA tech. Also the sunrom's module are better quality.
Following model 1197 i can see for 750/-

I have been facing similar problem with 434 MHz RF Module.
Does you CC2500 module work without any issues with Arduino board. I need to work on project using RF Modules.
