I programmed my atmega 128 with a parallel port programmer and using codevision avr eval version compiler.
I messed it up with the wrong fuse bits..may be..and now the chip is barking at me every time giving a communication error...

Is the checking SPI enable (I selected SPI option) the cause for my chip hanging dead or external clock fuse bits i selected is the cause?? (since eval version of codevision avr doesnt support external clock)

I am even not able to reset the chip to erase all my programming bits ..and to startover..

Now i even bought the avrcodevision compiler full version and trying to access the external clock..still it is not allowing me ..
Did anyone had similar problems??
Help me out in this..

Fuses are not a place to fool around, you can make your chip useless if you do not know what you are changing. Be very careful,

No one can help you once you disable the programming bits,

Once you disable SPI enable fuse, no way you can turn it back on.
