Im using an Atmega328 microncontroller, L293D motor driver and 4 infra red sensors..
I am also having second thoughts of using the same 5V rail for 1.microcontroller 2.logic supply of L293D 3.enabling the pins on motor driver 4. the sensors
do you think it will work?

1. Use different rails ... if possible different power supplies
2. I hope u dont plan to use the cheap 9V battery with 200ma current capcity ... ( i see 9 V source ) ... use Lipo/Liion 7.4
3. Motors have no decoupling , nor does your uC
4. No PWM ??? EN lines should be linked to PWM , on off is not good
5. No reverse polarity diode ? ... its good practice to put one in

Sorry , i didnt get you!

In the motor pins?

I need 5v supply, so do you think i should put another voltage regulator 7805 and make another 5v rail?

Actually i was, what different does it make?

thanks for replying :)

These all are very basic mistakes , do look on google searching for the terms mentioned and you will see what i mean.
