Element 14 sells at global rates :) . You can compare their prices to Digikey,Mouser etc , sometimes they are cheap sometimes they are expensive .

These distributors have USD prices , which when converted is the price you saw. And then indian taxes are added i think.

I buy from them now a lot ( mouser,digikey,element14) , as sadly my local vendor does not have any SMD or exotic parts. Local vendor supply is like .1 % of what these guys can supply. And if you work in 32 bit domain local vendors will have 0 stock of anything you want.

i even checked out digikey (mouser no idea) but i'm still amazed global rate 3xindian rates ? so is there any thing like element14 or digikey that sells at the local rates ?

Local indian shops will have cheaper prices. Try online local indian shops , probots, nex, tps.

These guys sell very limited stuff which is sourced from whole sellers . So the whole seller will buy 10 k pieces and bring price down. Nothing is x3 indian rates , you are looking at a very few items as terms of reference , I can point to many items they will have cheaper and local vendor will have x2 , x3 prices. Actually local vendors will not have 99.99% of what these guys will have in stock.

Hi,
element 14 mouser digikey etc hav the sole motive of selling part on sample quantities for design purpose . For eg if u r working with something like arm or other renesas etc then u can buy some part from them and then when u deal in quantities u can directly go to the distributors for 1K + qty

the rate u r looking r for 1 pc or so or may be 10 pcs etc
so its just for evaluting parts and prototype purpose only

I shop from farnell a lot, but not the commonly available stuff. Many items are insanely priced, thats because they dont stock much in India.

Pickit3 at 4600 is fine. But do check out prices at microchip direct.

Check out the sensors at farnell. I buy most of the sensors from them.

Farnell is only a reference to small vendors and individual buyers.. Its better to buy from grey market for individuals
