Hello,

I am having problem in programming the ATMega32L.
I tried to use uisp for loading the prog.
I found a circuit for "dapa" (programming through parallel port)
But it is just does not detect the chip.

Can somebody telll me what is the other method of programming it.

Does anybody know where can i buy (AVR - ISP) programmer in or around delhi.

well u wont find and AVR ISP programmer as such ( though some sites offer them for about Rs 400 for a Rs 30 thing ) My advice build the Pony prog programmer and try to use it . Has worked for me always and is really simple to make .

use avrdude latest version so that for hardware u
have to spend only Rs.40(for parallel port cable+some wires)

see this site

use bsd pgmer on avrdude

I have used it successfully for atmega8l and at90s2313. Have you specified the programmer type in command line ? This is what I use:

Uisp part of my makefile:
upload : $(PRG).hex
uisp -dprog=dapa --segment=flash --erase --upload --verify if=$(PRG).hex

Also check your parallel port mode setting in BIOS.

Hey man! go for the BSD programmer which Yogi suggested.....it really easy to make and it works absolutely fine for almost all the uC of AVR family....

Use it with AVRDUDE , thats the ultimate combo i have found :D

Use AVRDUDE bsd programmer. I have explained about it on my book. I aslo put wht are the problems occuring and wht are the solutions for that on that book so that u won't be facing any problem on making a programmer.I used the programmer for more than 1 year and I got too many probs and found solutions for tht. I explained abt it on my book
