I heard some of you mention that one can bargain for a better price.
But to me it looks so difficult to even convince the shopkeepers to sell the components. they behave as if you want it free. and they always ask "kis cheez main lagana hai". so you have to first find out where it is used commercialy. I am talking about the lajpat rai market.

I have never visited shop 629, 614 which seems quite popular here.
I will visit it this weekend.

Usually I vist 463 for rare ICs but he fleeces you straight away.
he wont hesitate to quote rates as high as double of original.

273 is a great shop. they sell quality components and at standard prices.
373 used to be camma electronics and sold digital ICs at sweet prices.
but its no more.

Does anyone of you know of more shops and how to tackle the shopkeeprs there ? how to bargain etc ?

well

lajpat rai as such is a whole sale market ( you cant bargain much unless you buy in whole sale ... which means atleast 10 pieces + ) . They wont change pricess unless u buy big.

Well for me availibilty is more of an Issue as i regularly Buy from Abroad also ( so lajpat rai is pennies compared to that ) . Also time is also a problem as going around in that garbage like market sux big time so i dont like to move arnd much ... just go to one shop and buy it . Rs 10 - 20 diff is not worth wasting time looking arnd.

My advice stick with the favorates ( unless you buy big dont expect any rebates ) .
