Hi Friends,
Can anyone tell me where can I find good information on making H Bridges (For controlling motors). And those of you who have made one please tell me from where you have got the information so that I can get a tested schematics.I have tried to make one but it is not working. Please help.

why build one.
use a chip that has hbridges on it.
use L293.

jacks posts sums up almost everything to know bout H-bridges
if u use a power IC....and if loads are below 0.5 amp...use L293D
the 'D' stands for a version of L293 with internal diodes, saves a lot of soldering, also L298 would be a nice option for higher loads

enough h ridge configurations r there in the forum....
jus search in the forum... u ll get all the info u ever need on h bridge designing......................
u can also use drivers like l293d if the current ratings of the motors is less .

unless if you want a higher rating...

you can build a bridge the same way using four discrete power MOSFETs/SCRS

and some 1n4007 diodes for surge protection

HI ,
you can use L298 for higher current rating. It has dual hbridge each can source upto 2A. If u want more then u can connect the 2 hbridge on L298 in parallel to get 4A current rating.
