Hi,

I want a motor driver and I want the output to be more than or equal to 2A per motor.
L293 gives only 500mA, L298 gives 1A. Is there any IC which can give 2A?

I dont want to build one using Mosfet's. Is there a direct solution like using only IC?

Thanks.

L298 gives 2A last i checked , with peak around 3A , use in bridge mode and get 4A with 6 A peak.

Thanks. I remember reading it somewhere that it gives out 1A. Just referred to datasheet and it says 2A continues.
For someone interested:

Peak Output Current (each Channel)
– Non Repetitive (t = 100ms) = 3A
–Repetitive (80% on –20% off; ton = 10ms) = 2.5A
–DC Operation = 2A
