Does anyone know how to use the the ATMEL ISP software?
What is a jedec/svf file? For AVRs (mega8515) what is the device type?

I have a hex file and a mcu. Now how do i write it?

ponyprog website says that it can be used with AVR ISP
http://www.lancos.com/prog.html
has anyone tried it?

Open you hex file in PonyProg and use this http://www.lancos.com/e2p/avrisp-stk200_mini.gif programmer to burn it.
Like Intel hex is standard for hex file format, JEDEC files are standard used FPGA/CPLD programming.
