Hi Guys,
I am building a motorized trolley that runs on track. i need help on how to design the wheels and axle for it.
from online studies i found that wheel can be mounted

on axle and motor coupled to the common axle
(or)
individually and motor connected to any one wheel.

also another way i heard is that each wheel is omni directional like the wheels used for some common trolleys used on land.

which one of the above is best ?

the maximum payload possible is 200-250 kg (where trolley alone weighs 100 kg) and maximum travelling speeds are 15 kmph.

Please let me know if I need to brief any section for better understanding.

Thanks in advance

If it is running on a track a common axle would do , since you dont need it to turn.

You will not find omni wheels for such loads easily either.

Go for the simplest approach.
