hi , i am planning to make a wall climbing robot(rough surfaces mainly) using fluid based thruster and track wheel mechanism. My robot needs to be weighing less than 1.5kg. I need information about how much thrust is required to be able to climb and which motor should be used and its speed?
how to calculate these parameter?

Important points: Thrust or force needed to stick to the wall = weight (G force)+ force to stick.to the wall ( suction force)+ force to move the crawler against these forces.Since the parameters are variably interdependent, it's difficult to advise.You must work it out with the above hint.The impirtant hint is that the sticking force must be greater than the force of gravity; the' moving force must be > the sticking force.Are you attending the NUS wall climber competition ?

Since it is a robot weighing more than 1 KG, the thrust should be high and the motor speed should be considerable so that controlling can be easy.
