I think it's www.alsystems.net They had basic stamps a few months back, but not now I think. Anyway you can give a try.

Hi guys,

Thanks ice and happy_99 for that useful information.
I have mailed the pitambar ppl to enquire about the availability; they replied back saying that though they didnt have any distributors in Chennai, they could mail me the product.
The Basic Stamp 2 costs 3050 + 100 for packing and postin.

Hi folks,
Try BS4 and st-64 as a cheap and limited alternative to the STAMP.
Basic Stamp Divided By Four! by Antti Lukats of Sistudio. Runs a BS1 in a PIC16F84

ICE, it may be useful to have a tutor on the forum.

I made one. Works great just not much space for your program. But as they said it is 1/4 the size of a BS1. You must also have to get or make a PIC programer. I made an El Chepo programer works good too. So why am I still using Stamps? I have used them for years and I was hoping to make a robot that had the main brains a BS 2 and the sub systems all BS-4's.

If anybody wants more Infor I will be happy to post it here or email me.

Cheers,

Randy

Bravo stadham,
Nice to know. Can you post a tutorial on it? While the Mem is less, it is still good enough for various basic stuff.
