I want to interface a Lancard with AVR for my project

something like embedded networking

Which Lancard should I buy. Is it possible with newly available Lancards?

Is it possible with LanCard's which are used in normal PC's

If not so then plz tell me abt the cost and where can I get it

I have one idea for not exactly what u want but something of that type, my seniors had made two co-operative robots which used to communicate using wireless LAN, and for LAN they used simputers on robots and the simputers were connected serially with the AVR motherboards......

So this is one costly but working method of implementing wireless networking between robots.....

My friends did exatly this ... it was an ISA card ( 16 bit at 8 Mhz Bus ) which is now not easily availible now . It was a big mess .... he implemented FTP / ICMP and a basic HTTP . Look up picoweb and some other similar projects on the web.

PCI is a problem as it runs at 33 Mhz ( the ones which we use today ) ... Best is buy a network modules and save urself from all this pain ...
