can ne1 help me in generating a 38khz signal from an ir led without using any external circuitry,i.e i want to do that using a program,just give e some algorithm sort of thing

wihout using any external ciruitry,there is only on option i.e., use your pc.
follow the nice parallel port tutorials on the site given by ICE.
if not that then u require a min. of IC555 to generate a pulse of 38khz.
the third and best option i like is use a microcontroller.its easy and gives u flexibility also.

i was actually in need of a program to generate 38khz using at89s2313
and plz reply as soon as possible,its urgent....................

No such chip as at89s2313 only at90s2313

Whats the cystal you are using for the 90S2313 ?

just connect the LED to a transistor or directly to the output pin of the micro. Then simply generate a on/off signal using timer 0.0263 mS which means every 26.3 micro seconds. This will give you a square wave of duty cycle 38Khz.
