hi
we want to drive a dc motor using 8051 uc.but widout using l293d,as a driver ckt.is dere an alternative?cheaper dan l293d.it costs a lot in calcutta,n seems 2 av a lot of probs.we only want voltage amplification.

wots the current rating of this circuit.my motor needs arnd 2 amp current on full load.will it work?and tell me sumthng when these parts put together cost me arnd sum 90 bucks why not go for a l293d itself?

thanks yogi for the ckt but i have decided to give l293d a try .
Anyway i will be using 12V dc motors . will try to get current rating less than .5amp as recommended.
