i m an electronics student and have very little idea about driver assembly.

i want to build an IR controlled RC (within a month) car but i dont know how to change directions ;(left, right.)
dont want to rip apart a prebuitl toy car and just connect my RC circuit. want to build the driver assebly myself.
i surfed a lot but i was not able to find a clear example showing the connetions of electronic circuit to mechanical parts, viz, wheels ; that would enable the remote contol to steer left and right.

Here is the driver i used

For moving left, right u can do with L293D(limitation max current .5A)
or L298(max current 2A)

For IR, i think use one TV remote decode the remote using any microcontroller(AVR preferred).

if ur motor draws less than .5amps...
l293dne is the best...
for 2amps, l298 is gud
and go for lmd18200 for 3amps....
if its still more than tat, design one h bridge ckt
