hi,
I use windows XP and winpicprog to program my pic16F84A but when I tried to burn it says a warning

WARNING: Fuses not set in the loaded file.

and thenif I ignore that and continue it says

Program Verify failed at program address 0x000,programming failed.

can anyone help me.... and some body tell me what are the dlls r softwares that has to be installed for using pll port in Win XP.

Which programmer you are using?? I'm not sure if this utility may turn useful to you http://www.embeddedtronics.com/public/Electronics/minidaq/userport/UserPort.zip

Yeah! it would be easier to help if you give some details about your programmer or post a pic of its circuit

well, for all the atmel microcontrollers, i would recommend the Atmel's AVR Studio 3.56 or higher avalable for free oon the company's website..

To load your programmes on the chip, i know a software called ATProg which also gives a circuit which u can easily build up at home,connect to your computer and burn all you AVR microcontrollers on that circuit.its very easy to setup and the software is very user friendly too..try it out.....
