Hi 2 all.......
I am doing my project on automatic navigation of a robotic vehicle on a predetermined track
I am facing a problem now. I want to do it using NEURAL NETWORKS . I thought of using two IR sensors to get the road detail but i dont know how to implement in detail . So plzz help me and suggest how to implement it.

P.S : I am using a PIC16F877 mc and L293D 4 motor controlling using PWM.

automatic navigation of a robotic vehicle on a predetermined track

what do you need NN for ??

anycase u can look up Fobo ( project report ) in the downloads section. It is almost what u want .. hebbian feed forward network is used for basic obstacle avoidance .

Thanks 4 ur advice.I checked that FOBO project. I am confused in choosing the right method to sense the path.... Whether to use IR or touch sensor or any other like UltraSonic........... Which is preferable....
I ll explain my idea...
the road has a reflecting strip(in case of using IR or LED Photodiode) just before a curvature in the road and after the curvature in the road. When the IR senses that a turning is ahead by means of this strip it ll interrupt the mc and the mc inturn change the duty cycle of the motors to actualize the turn
( the direction is already stored in the mc i.e whether a left or right turn)
I doubt that this method will work . Plzz help me......!
