    Welcome to the new Robotics India. It has been 4 years since the last upgrade, and Robotics India was in need of one for a very long time.

    Here are some of the features that you will notice in the all new RoboticsIndia:

    1.) Fully Community Driven : More features for you, more social networking tools, easier interface, POWER TO THE USER!

    2.) Your own personal blogspace! : Why go for articles when you can have your own blog space right here which you can share with other users? Now you can put in your tutorials, cool robotics gadgets you came across, and if you are a part of your university's Techfest Managing Committee, you can maintain a blog of your techfest happenings!

    3.) Photo & Video Sharing! : Stumbled upon a cool robotics video on youtube or made a cool robot which you want to share with other RI users? Now you can put up links to videos and images showcasing them on the front page.

    4.) Better Security and Spam Control : No more down time because of pesky hackers and no more spamming on the forums. The new and improved RoboticsIndia will make sure that your experience here is more fruitful. New moderators and and an overall strong website architecture will guarantee more knowledge sharing sans the irritation.

    5.) Better 3rd Party Advertising : All robotics parts and kits suppliers can now utilize RoboticsIndia's user-base to advertise their new products by being a part of RoboticsIndia's select Merchant group. A nominal fee will be charged each month the company decides to put up an advertisement on their own dedicated advertising space on RoboticsIndia!!. This will also limit advertisers running amok on the forums and spamming them without any useful contributions.

    6.) Better Event Calendar : Tired of waiting for the admins for putting up your event news and schedule on RI? Now you have the power to personally announce your events on RoboticsIndia and customize the calender accordingly.

    We hope to bring a whole lot of new features to you guys through this upgrade . We hope you like the new Robotics India.

    We will be slowly and steadily porting all the content and features from the old site to the new one so if you are missing something have a little patience while we are at work.

      Since you have refused to accept PMs... :
      Please make the Forum more colorful.
      At the moment, when compared to all other Forums, the monochrome is a little drab.... reminds me of the BB's and Mailing lists from2 decades ago.
      'Lots of features' are fine, but most people have this inner feeling of fun & interest when there is color; it makes the 'look' interesting !! It is not enough if you just give the members the choice of skins (most members dont know about it at all ), but a Public Forum, Company etc., needs to be attention worthy. Blogs, sites , Video sharing , Message boards and even Forums are free on the internet nowadays. Membership, I mean continued membership goes by aesthetics first followed by content on the 3rd or 4th count. A Forum must be made conducive to get back and stay on. it is not a 'one-off' thing anymore, as there are numerous forums and other attractive platforms for people on the internet today to choose from.
      Also, looks like the Forum is transforming into a commercial organisation. Well, I hope that you have your priorities in clear type....
      It is a little disheartening to see most RI posts by members nowadays are those that are interested ONLY in business and a way to make money out of others brains.
      You need to have some very basi, clear-cut ground rules and regulations for the forum
      Please make the forum more colorful! & meaningful. .

      DOC!!! Thanks for your comments, I didnt know that PMs were disabled. Yes, I understand the importance of aesthetics and will work towards that. This time we intend on having strict rules on the forums. All advertising is banned and will be immediately deleted from the forums. Spamming users will be permanently banned. Rule breakers will get infractions and 10 day bans. More than 3 infractions will lead to permanent bans. HAHA YOU ARE OUR SENIOR MODERATOR WHY AM I TELLING YOU ALL THIS?? We will discuss all the rules when you have the time and come to a consensus. Thank you again. Rao

      Why are the threads/posts sorted in reverse, i.e. oldest first.
      And there doesnt seem to be any options anywhere to correct it.

      Its so hard now to quickly see if there are any new posts and if so, where...

      please make a basic html like version of this site for slow connections. i am an old member of this site, but due to slow speed of net at my insti and because of which i have not been active lately.please... for the sake of people with slow connections, i request the admins to take some step to solve our problem.otherwise the site is fantastic,but really takes a lot of time to open up here
