We have finally moved our server to India , we were having constant problems with Dreamhost. Now RoboticsIndia is hosted in Hyderabad on HostGator Servers. You will instantly see the speed difference in page generation now that we have moved. Also we should now have much better uptime.

Well this article covers the dynamics involved in making a good robot! So let’s see what are the dynamics involved in making a perfect Robot there are many factors that can affect like RPM torque of the motor, diameter of the wheel friction between the tyres and the floor etc. We shall discuss how to calculate your requirement and then proceed into its application. Ever dreamed of a robot that cleaned your house, washed your car or walked the dog? People would call you a mentally retarded guy if you voiced your opinion however that is not the case today. Rapid developments have made robotic technology professions among the most exciting available to recent graduates Positions within the robotics industry generally are the different stages of the engineering process. What is this PID and why is it much talked? Well, PID means proportional–integral–derivative and it is a control feedback method applied in different control systems, its main task is to minimize the error of whatever you are about to control. It is superior quality error control feedback mechanism and the general industry standard. Speaking simple it takes in the inputs calculates the deviation from the intended behaviour and accordingly adjusts the outputs so that the deviation from the desired behaviour is minimized thus getting the highest possible accuracy. So this time lets start with some robot building, like in previous article our target was a fast, small robot capable of solving problems like mazes , line following , soccer , picking and dragging things etc. When building we will go over the headings covered last time and pick items appropriately. The best commercial example of a robot which somewhat fulfills our requirement is the 3pi robot.Read on

Ive run Robotics India since a few years now, I can say about 80 % visitors are looking to take part in a competition. But most people end up building the same old robots making the same mistakes year after year and I am not really seeing any improvements in robots which participate in this competitions. So I thought to start a series on how to build better robots for most of these competitions with some tips to help you win. Read More ...
