    Default Sensor Price check

    Hi

I just checked out the price list here and it seems very old.

    I am getting TSOP1738 for Rs 15

Ultrasonic (SONAR) TXRX for Rs 350

    L239D - Rs 75

    Are these too much ?

I am also on the lookout for a good IR circuit which can give me range of atleast 1cm to 2m.

    Default Perfect Deal!

    Hello,

The prices you mentioned are okay maybe even a bit on the lower side
    Go get them!

As for getting a good range try pulsing out the IR led's with a high current using low series resistance and a low duty cycle (using TSOP rite )... search the forum for this though...there are a few posts already dealing with this...

You will want to be careful when passing a high current thru the Led

hi... TSOP and 293 is sure cheap... but ultrasonic sensors..h,, i used to get it for 250-270 here in cochin. as for TSOP, i would suggest Vishay itself, as the other ones (unidentified ones) sure will give you unidentified problems...
    .... I didnt do it ! ....

I am specially perturbed about the cost of the SONAR snesors..

I think it is available at arount Rs 135 ?

    Can anyone confirm ?

Also, TSOP1738 is not maked as Vishay... I know how TSOP1738 looks like, but how do I know if it's from Vishay or not ?

well... thats something that i also dont know. Hopefully, someone from the forum will show us a way...

I just ask the guy if its from vishay. But there are other companies whose TSOPs are good, but the poor ones, you can tell it in a glance.

something like this. If you do a google search then u will get it. If you go to a n electronics shop ask them for tv remote receiver or IR sensor. Sometimes when I ask for photodiode they give me tsop. See the above figure u will get it. It costs around Rs.15 because it is used for decoding TV remotes.

I bought an ultrasonic transducer pair for Rs 110. They worked nicely. I've added them and two more pairs to my robot.

    Please Supario,

be nice and upload a few pictures of how your sensors look like.

If I can use it to make my own SRF-04 Ultrasonics sensor, I will buy the ultrasonics sensors for you and also make you a few SRF-04.

    Promise !!
