Pretty ambitious i see ... the first thing ill ask is what is your budget .

If your budget is less than Rs 40 k don't bother getting into this project.

A UAV can be squeezed in a budget of some 20k, depending upon the 'work' UAV is expected to do.

Mind throwing light on what propulsion system are you using?

If u plan to use jet-engines, I would say, even 40k is less for a gas powered UAV.

    Thanx ..

    Has anyone Seen X UFO??

The concept is cool (pretty old I know) but can be made cheaper.

How about trying something like this with less number of rotors? or same ..

I am not including the link.. google for x ufo, do some manual labour ..

Never said it was cheap.. but a smaller version with less power motors and a lighter body can be designed cheaper (hypothetically, haven't made one yet)... you dont have to make it that big..

But isnt it cool.. looks beautiful..

    http://www.wonderhobby.com/88spunrcreco.html ( 400 bucks in Bangalore)

Maybe connect 4 of these to build a quad rotor ( < 1200 + extra battery packs etc). Though ull need a Gyro + micro combo as flying a quad rotor without without on board stabilization is nearly impossible.

I wish i had the time for all this ...
