    Default hi ...IR Guided robot ,,,,

    hey guys ...
    i m building a small robot guided by the IR ....for this purpose i m using TSOP as a sensor ...but i m facing a prob ...
    I have placed my 4 tsop at 90 degree from each other on a circular base ..
    but when i turn my remote on ...all sensor starts working together ...instead of working individually..........
    I want them working with line of sight ...what could be the prob ......
    anyone has smthing related to this topic pls mail me ....

    Hi,
    try closing the tsop module with some metal/clay and leave a small aperture in the front. tsop are very sensitive to pick up remote transmissions...you can also try reducing the output power of the remote ir led...

    Because IR is modulated it will be reflected and will have long range .

    As orion said try to build a small encloser around tsop so that it gets IR only from the front. Also u have to lower the power IR LED's and provide a small tube like covering around it to make it directed too.
